Tonight we've got the talented Evan Dehner on deck to play you some songs. You may have caught his band the Wobblers playing around the area before.

The kitchen will be serving up all your favorites, including the Pimento Cheese Club, featuring Boar's Head ham and smoked turkey, and SC's best pimento cheese (made right here at Kite Hill).

We've got plenty of options in the cooler if your weekend adventures take you away from Clemson, so come stock up on some 16oz cans or have a bartender fill a 32oz crowler with your favorite beer on draft.

Tonight, on another edition of Explain It Like I'm Drinking, we welcome in Maggie Thompson to present "Beetles: The Wonderful World of Coleoptera."

As ecologists across the world search for ways to conserve the over 300,000 known species of beetles, many people outside the field still think of them as creepy crawlers. An amateur entomologist and Clemson graduate, Maggie Thompson believes that education is the best way to share the beauty of the microscopic world. This talk will be about what makes beetles unique within the insect world, their complex life cycle, and the diversity of beetles found in our backyard.

Join Maggie at 6 for a pint, and the presentation will begin at 6:30.

Mon is Family Night. Bring the kiddos and we'll feed them for 1/2 price.

Tues we have Billy and Tim aka Drinking Trivially back for another round of awesome trivia. Action starts at 6:30. Bring your friends!

Wed we'll be closing the taproom for a private event.

Thurs is Explain It Like I'm Drinking -- come by at 6 and Maggie Thompson will drop some beetle knowledge on you. The bug, not the band.

Fri we have live music with the talented Mr. Evan Dehner. He's played a couple times before and is always a joy to watch.

Sat will be our first ever Night Market! Come check out 11 local vendors out in the beergarden from 5-8.

Monday's Question That Needs Answered is "How many pretzels has Kite Hill sold since opening 3 years ago?" Come by the taproom to submit your answer! Closest guess gets a free beer! We'll announce the winner at the end of the night.

Cheers dads! We've got a number of things on tap today (aside from beer) to make your day special. We've got some special dad related crafts for the kids, a professional photographer to snap some portraits of dad with the kids, and The Continental Mobile Cigar Lounge out front from 4-7.

We're almost ready for you, Clemson!

The balloons are up, the dunk tank has been filled, and the beer is cold. Speaking of beer, our 3rd anniversary release is on tap now! Lager Jam Imperial Pils is a delightful lager made with quality German malt and Spalter German hops. It's deceptively drinkable at 7.9%.

It's gonna be a hot day for our party, so we've got the fans going and misting tent out front! Frios Popsicles came by and topped us off yesterday, so we're set there too!

We'll have Fork Grove Barbecue set up out back, and the Kite Hill kitchen will be serving a limited menu. Tony Tidwell Band plays at 2 on the lawn, with Amongst the Trees closing out the evening from 6-9.

We can't wait to celebrate with you! Cheers!

Father's Day is right around the corner (Sunday), so after we're done celebrating our 3rd Anniversary (Saturday), come celebrate some dads at Kite Hill. We've got some dad-related crafts for the kids to make, we'll have a professional photographer on site from 3-5 to snap some portraits of dad with the kids, and then Continental Cigar Lounge will be parked out from from 4-7!

Thompson Mefford joins us for a chat entitled "Better Living Through Magnetic Nanoparticles." What better way to learn about what the heck magnetic nanoparticles do than over a beer or two?

"Magnetic nanoparticles, typically iron oxide particles, that are 20-100 atoms across can do some pretty cool things. This talk will begin with how MRI works and designing particles to be used to enhancing imaging. Next, we will talk about applying an alternative magnetic field to kill unwanted bacteria and cancer with these particles. We will end forward looking talking about new imaging modalities such as magnetic particle imaging (MPI)."
